Venue Ellough Airfield, Beccles, Suffolk. Hosted in an original World War II airfield T2 hanger
Music/Band Our dancing music is provided by the Super Swing Big Band - a 20 piece big band with vocalist playing 1940's & 50's music.

In the first band interval there will be a demonstration of Lindy Hop by Alan Roper with some of his associates.

Timings Band starts 20:00 both nights and plays to late (Usually to between 23:30 & midnight)
Dress Code We actively encourage period uniform (1940's). If you don't already have a costume you may prefer to rent. If so, we recommend you book early as costumes tend to hire out as quickly as the Hangar Dance tickets.

Please don't think you have to spend a fortune though. We encourage home made costumes, such as a pair of cotton overalls and a pair of your mates boots will soon turn you into a member of the Hangar Ground Crew!

We prefer Allied forces uniforms. Your party could dress as characters from " 'Allo 'Allo", and you will be just as welcome if you have a "Herr Flick", a "Lieutenant Gruber"  or a "Captain Alberto Bertorelli" amongst your party.  We reserve the right to refuse entry for overtly offensive costumes.

You are welcome to come in modern dress but you will be in the minority!

Food & Drink We have a licensed bar & hot food. Please do not bring your own alcohol. It breaches our license and if found you will be asked to leave.
Where does the proceeds go? All proceeds go to supporting the Waveney Hospice Care -  a charity offering palliative care in the Waveney Area. Please see the Our Cause page.

The 2011 dance raised approximately £ 8,200.00, and we thank you for your support.
